Our motto is to enable people from all age groups and professions to be a part of making awesome things on the web. We teach all to develop their web literacy skills by spreading awareness and teaching the skills required to develop the web. To do so, we go to school, colleges, offices and any public spaces to teach them about the open source technologies. #MozClubNashik

What’s maker party?

Why Mozilla throws an annual Maker Party?

Mozilla  believes the web is a global  public resource that’s integral to modern  life: it shapes how we learn,  how we connect and how we communicate.  But many of us don’t understand  its basic mechanics or what it means to  be a citizen of the web. That’s  why we’re so passionate about teaching  web literacy through hands-on  learning and making. Our goal is to help  people move beyond simply  consuming the web to understanding and  creating it, so it remains open,  accessible and ours.

The main motto of maker party is “LEARN BY TEACHING“.

The  best way to learn the web is to teach it. Hosting a Maker Party is  not  only personally rewarding, it contributes to the greater goal of   increasing web literacy for everyone, everywhere in the world.

WebMaker :

Webmaker is a part of Mozilla’s non-profit mission to create a more open, web literate world.

Webmaker tools make it easy to create things on the web. Make your own web pages, interactive videos, remixes, mobile apps and more—learning web mechanics, code and other valuable skills as you go

Thimble :

Thimble makes it ridiculously simple to create and share your own web pages. Write and edit HTML and CSS right in your browser, then instantly preview your work. Host and share your finished projects with a single click.

Here the session was started with Intro. & Hands-on, session taken by mainly Akshay Sonavane and me.

The illusion—as in motion pictures in general—is thought to rely on the phi phenomenon. Animators are artists who specialize in the creation of animation.

What is Multimedia?

–> Multimedia is the field concerned with the computer-controlled integration of text, graphics, drawings, still and moving images (Video), animation, audio, and any other media where every type of information can be represented, stored, transmitted and processed digitally.

This was last session for the day and it was taken by Akshay Sonavane & Mayur Padma. Both were too good with their work. They have provided live demonstration of animation

Day 2nd

We have decided to celebrate the day as “Open Source Day” because now-a-days open source technologies what everyone wants to learn.

Open source software is software whose source code is available for modification or enhancement by anyone.

“Source code” is the part of software that most computer users don’t ever see; it’s the code computer programmers can manipulate to change how a piece of software—a “program” or “application”—works. Programmers who have access to a computer program’s source code can improve that program by adding features to it or fixing parts that don’t always work correctly.

What is Linux?

Linux is the best-known and most-used open source operating system. It is the software on a computer that enables applications and the computer operator to access the devices on the computer to perform desired functions.

Session taken by Siddhartha & Tushar, Siddhartha has started the session with basic introduction of Linux and their use & key-features. Tushar has given live demonstration of Linux installation also at a same time students have also installed that as instructions given by Tushar. This session quite long as compare to other sessions.  Our Technical Mozillians Like Akash, Mitesh helped those students who have faced the problems during the installation. These guys were awesome.

As we have too much crowd so its not possible for us to do installation for everyone, so we have decided that those who remains we will do the installation tomorrow as we have Linux Installation & Free OS Distribution Booth.

Time for Privacy & Secuirty session. LIGHTBEAM was the focus of his session, the session taken by Siddhartha  and to be honest it was AWOSOME SESSION!!  There are many peoples in the world who tracked us everyday, every-minute, he has focused on The virtual add-on that helps visualize what are the THIRD PARTY TRACKING sites that are snatching your confidential data that you do not want to be tracked!! As result you can then BLOCK those websites for further data tracking by that particular website !! By using this Add-on you can block the threat site and or any third party site who been tracked you.

Tanmay has also provided the basic security tips which we need to taken care of. He was too good.
